About Me

From a young age, I’ve been captivated by the world of engineering. Whether it was building elaborate LEGO structures or creating pillow forts with my two siblings, I was always drawn to problem-solving, innovation, and design. That curiosity and passion remain at the heart of everything I do today. Even outside of academics, I’m constantly seeking new challenges that push my thinking and help me find ways to improve everyday life and contribute to making the world a better place.

When I’m not immersed in school or work, you’ll find me embracing the outdoors — skiing, hiking, and traveling. I’m also a big sports enthusiast, particularly hockey, and cherish spending quality time with family and friends.

Work Experience

Professional Timeline

Mechanical Engineering Co-op - Maintenance Excellence

Elk Valley Resources

September 2024-2025

Sparwood, BC

During my co-op placement, I gained hands-on experience in the maintenance department of a large metallurgical coal mine operation. I worked closely with the projects team to tackle complex mechanical issues, working with heavy equipment to ensure smooth operations. This role sharpened my problem-solving skills and deepened my understanding of industrial systems, providing valuable insights into the real-world applications of engineering principles in a challenging, high-stakes environment.

Out Tripping Section Director

YMCA Wanakita

June - August 2024

Haliburton, ON

As the Out Tripping Section Director, I led and managed a dedicated team responsible for organizing and executing our camp's multi-day and single-night canoe tripping programs. From route planning and meal preparation to equipment packing and ensuring smooth operations, I oversaw every detail to deliver exceptional experiences for our campers. Working alongside a team of 15 section directors, I helped manage a staff of over 120 individuals, honing my organizational, leadership, and team coordination skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role deepened my ability to manage complex logistics, problem-solve on the fly, and work collaboratively to achieve goals under pressure.

Summer Student

Richardson Wealth

May  - June 2024

Toronto, ON

In an effort to broaden my skill set and gain a deeper understanding of how diverse industries intersect with engineering, I spent a summer working at a finance company. While my role primarily focused on administrative tasks, I actively sought opportunities to learn about financial processes, data analysis, and the strategic decision-making that drives business success. This experience reinforced my belief that finance and engineering are deeply intertwined, and I gained valuable insights into how financial principles can be applied to optimize engineering projects and initiatives. It was an excellent opportunity to develop a well-rounded perspective, strengthening my problem-solving and analytical skills in ways that complement my engineering background.

While I am still exploring the specific direction of my career, I know one thing for certain: I want to make a meaningful difference in the world. My goal is to work in a field where I can apply my engineering skills to help improve the lives of others, whether through innovative designs, sustainable solutions, or impactful technologies. I am particularly passionate about creating solutions that address real-world challenges, making everyday life more efficient, accessible, and fulfilling. I look forward to working in environments that foster collaboration, growth, and continuous learning, where I can keep evolving as an engineer and contribute to projects that truly make a difference
